The BIG Invitation:
You’re invited to experience peace with God
Yes, God offers a personal relationship with you, the forgiveness of your sins, and the promise of eternal life.
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you can follow the biblical steps below to do so. Read each passage and then use the prayer prompt to start a prayer to God. Simply speak to God like you would any other person.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
Acknowledge that we can never measure up to God’s holy standard.
Prayer prompt: God, I know that I am a sinner, and that means I fall short of Your standard.
He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5)
Any righteous actions we take will never be enough for us to earn God’s goodness.
Prayer prompt: No amount of good deeds would allow me to measure up.
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (Ephesians 2:1-3)
Our sinful state fully separates us from God in a condition of spiritual deadness.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
God’s response to our condition is to send His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, taking our sinfulness upon Himself. Then, by raising again, Jesus defeated sin. He offers us eternal life.
Prayer prompt: I know that because of Your great love You offer me eternal life through Jesus.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
Placing faith in Jesus comes by believing and declaring that Jesus is your risen Lord and Savior.
Prayer prompt: Jesus, I confess You as my Lord and Savior. I believe that you died for my sins and that you rose again.
And he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. (2 Corinthians 5:15)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
In response to God’s grace, our job is to now live for Him rather than for ourselves.
Prayer prompt: As a believer in You – as a Christian – I commit to follow You and not for myself. Help me to pursue Your plan for my life.
If you responded with faith in Jesus, that is a wonderful thing! You will need prayer and support. Let us help you grow. Complete the form to get in touch with us and start that process.
